Onboarding Steps for New Members
STEP ONE
Manager complete the New Member Form 7-15 Days before Biolabs onboarding

Manager reserves the Orientation Date

Manager informs new lab hire to get C14 for Biolabs site
STEP TWO
Attend Biolabs Orientation & Lab Training & EHS training
(if applicable)

Receive badges & Welcome Packet
STEP THREE
Receive Logins for Biolabs digital resources:
Roomzilla
Resident Portal
Clustermarket
MediaLabs

Attend a Marketplace training session
​
Review Policies, Submit Acknowledgment Form & Emergency Contact Form
What to expect
Once New Members complete the onboarding sessions, they will receive a badge and be ready to start!
​
If the new member will not be working or visiting the lab regularly. Members can leave and receive their badge after the general orientations session.
Lab members or anyone who wishes to have lab access must complete the whole day of Orientation, Lab Training & EHS training before they can receive their badges and work in the laboratory.

9:30 – 9:55 am: Site Presentation by Site Coordinator (Watts Conference Room - Rm 605)

9:55 - 10:00 am: Break

10:00 – 10:30am: Site Tour

Office only members will receive their badges following the site tour
Office only members can leave, lab members continue

10:30am- 11:30am: Lab Presentation by Lab Manager (Watts Conference Room - Rm 605)

11:30am - 1:00 pm: Break/Lunch

1:00pm – 4:00pm: Lab Safety Training by Sr. Lab Ops Associate (Holland Tunnel Conference Room - Rm 707)
Lab members can obtain badges from the team after lab safety training

In order to start using Marketplace for ordering, new residents need to be trained by one of our Marketplace team members first.
Please reach out to them by filling out the New to Marketplace form on the site. within your first few days. If you are a new company, you must also fill out this form.
​
New lab residents will be signed up for Clustermarket and MediaLabs and obtain or transfer an FDNY C-14 Certification.
